One Year Ago Today.

It was a year ago on January 1 2011 when Teri and Steven got married at the Dutch’s Daughter Restaurant in Frederick MD.    The event was mostly family and a few special friends, but still quite memorable for all.

So to Teri and Steven, Happy Anniversary, and may you have more.

Preparing for New Years Dinner

For the End of the old Year, I decided to make home made Pizza, and boy it was good.

Preparing for Making the Dough.   Pizza Dough that is.

A little Bubbly.

Wine to go with the Pizza.

The Pizza is done, just look at that perfectly cooked pie, yum.

Are you hungry yet?

Mission Control, we have a problem.    The paperwork with my new pan said that this pan will work in the oven.  But what about the handles.

I will be contacting the manufacture about this.

But dinner was still great.

Happy New Years to everyone.

Holiday with the Family

Nothing is more precious than to spend time with your family during the Holiday Season.   So I want to say “Happy Holidays to all of my fellow photographer friends and their families”.   But most importantly, Happy Holidays to my Family.

Personally Giving Thanks and More.

This year has been a tough year for me.   It’s been a tough year for my family as well.   So much has happen, not all good but a lot positive events have happened as well.   But more importantly, I could have not made it through the year without my family and friends by my side.

First, I am very thankful for the Judges who awarded me my three gold medals this year for my photographic work.   I am also thankful to Brian Smith for his words of wisdom that he gave to me last February at WPPI.   To Zack and Jody Grey in Nashville TN., this couple together has relight a light that was extinguished last year and gave me the personal tools to help me keep that light burning brightly.   Then there are the customers who trusted me with their portraits during this past year.    Oh then there is Ron Rice with Dury’s Camera Store in Nashville TN, who was able to resolve a problem and have a very important studio tool delivered to me quite quickly.   Oh yes, the fine people at Westcott Lighting, who provided the answer to another major problem in my studio.   Then there is Mr. Paul C. Buff (Mr. Alien Bee’s) who advice has set the path for replacing my old warn out studio lights.  Paul your right, moving to Einstein was a genius move.   The people at SONY’s Alpha Camera Group for giving me the chance to learn firsthand from all who are a part of this group and the SONY Artisans of Imagery.    Last and not least, to my attorney and advisers who guided me through my most toughest challenge of my life.

There are so many more people that I can include in my thanks like Molly, Erika, David, Michael, Christina, Rod, Miguel, Sandy, Chad, Patrice, Kristin, Justin, Robert, Mary, Cheryl, Drew, Teri, Steve, Paul, Sara, Vanessa, Kayla and Drake.   You have all touched my life this year.   And if I did not mention your name, it’s not that I forgotten, but you are in my heart and in my prayers.

May you all have hope and love in your hearts, and see a bright future.   An most importantly, God Bless all of you.

P Thomas Lambert.

The Westcott Apollo Orb Meets Sabrina

First, let me introduce my Niece, Sabrina.   I just recently photographed her for her mother’s annual Holiday cards that are sent out every year.    But what makes this session even more special, is that I used a new Flash Modifier just recently announced by FJ  Westcott, call the 42 inch Apollo Orb.

The Westcott 42 Inch Apollo Orb is a new, highly portable light modifier.    I  found during my session with Sabrina that with the use of portable strobes, the Westcott 42 inch Apollo Orb has a minor issue.   The light source is IE your flash is somewhat one directional.   But with the addition of a  Flash Diffuser, my flash turned into the perfect light source for the Westcott 42 inch Apollo Orb.   I will be writing more about the Westcott Apollo Orb,  and give my fellow photographers the details in it’s use and how to use this new tool in a variety of different portrait settings.

But for now, enjoy the results of my new light modifier from Westcott.   Oh and a shout out to Ron Rice, the Executive VP at DURY’s Photography Shop in Nashville TN. http://www.durys.com/

Without your help, I would not have been able to get this new tool in time for this session.

Abbey at Walkersville Community Park

Just last Saturday, Abbey, her Mother and I enjoyed a short but successful photo session at Walkersville Community Park.  This little park is definitely on my preferred list of locations.

Kelsey In the Park

There are lot of favorite locations for portraits, but the one that stand out the most in the City of Frederick is this covered bridge in Baker Park.    Kelsey also loves this bridge as well and it worked out to be a win win for both of us.

I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

OK I did take some photos for my self for the 2011 WWPW.

Besides being the leader of the Frederick 2011 World Wide Photo Walk, I also took the time to take a few photos for my self on the wet raining day.    Even though these images are not going to compete in this years World Wide Photo Walk Competition, I thought I would share them with you.

I truly had fun leading this fine group of photographers and I look forward in doing this again next year.    Also, I cannot thank the Green Turtle for letting us use your restaurant for our meeting place.

A Great World Wide Photo Walk This Year!

Saturdays World Wide Photo Walk for Frederick MD was a great success despite the weather.   We had a total of 39 walkers signed up but only 17 showed.   Again the weather was a spoiler and not for those who participated.   Despite being a little rainy, from what I have seen, all of the walkers have submitted some outstanding photos from Saturdays Walk.

A perfect Host

The great people at the Green Turtle were superb and the perfect host for this years World Wide Photo Walk and most definitely I will call upon them again next.    And a special shout out to Ardenn Turano, the Manager of the Green Turtle in Frederick MD and for the special discount coupons for many of out Walkers.   Not only was the Green Turtle a great warm place to return too after walking in the cold rainy day, the staff at the Green Turtle warmed our hearts with warm drinks and great food.     Thank you Green Turtle.

Keep checking here over the next few weeks, I will be posting some of the top entries including my selection of the Grand Prize Competition.
