Our New Senior Site is Up

ls_seniors15

After almost a two year Hiatus, Lambert Style and Photography by Lambert has re-launched our Senior Portrait Site.  Today our site is much more Phone and Tablet friendly and will provide our parents with the information that is needed to make an informed investment in their son or daughter portraits.

We are not officially associated with any high school for producing year book photos, but we are an alternative to the limited offerings from the year book photographers.    As we have stated in the past, your students photos for the year book are taken by a contract photographer, and those are the photos that will be used in their year book.   But you are not obligated to purchase any of those photos even though the contract photographer might try to per-sway you to purchase some of those photos.   As a parent or even a student looking for Senior Portraits, you will want your Senior Portraits to be Unique to you but with a quality above the rest, Lambert Style should be your first choice.

Give us a call or visit our web site and get into our special Seniors Models Offer.

A Fun Project with my Makeup Artist

natasha4

My makeup artist is among the first person you will meet before we start your Pastel Dream Session, Romantic Figurative Session or even of Enchanted Portrait Sessions.  She is fun, witty, and sometimes way out there.  But one very important asset she possesses, Beauty, and last Saturday, despite my mouth pain and Molly’s Broken toe, we created some stunning images for my Makeup Artist.

Let me Introduce my Makeup Artist Natasha Sriracha.

When you come in for your Pastel Dreams Session, you will be in good hands with the artistry of Natasha.

A memorable Family Session

SONY DSC

When I am photographing a young Family like Amber’s Family, there is a sense of magic in the air. Their young son is a charmer, and when it was time for his portrait to be taken he became a bit of a challenge. But with the aid of a few bubbles we brought out that special charm and captured this stunning portraiture with his mother.

SONY DSC

He has a special bond with his dad and that required quick timing to capture at the right moment.

We are so pleased with this sessions portraiture’s that we are creating a stunning display for the studio. When the final canvas is framed and hung, we will update you on our blog.

My Special Boy.

SONY DSC

During my Session with Marjorie and her son Greyson, several magical moments took place and I was able to capture these moments with perfect timing.   And of all of the images from that morning session, this one has to be my favorite one.  I call it My Special Boy.

I hope you enjoy this image as much I have.

Pastel Dreams is online

dreams_blog

First and most important, I am not going to shoot Boudoir portraits as most other photographers around the country are shooting. Almost every day, more and more photographers are pickup up Boudoir Portraits but only to copy the next photographer. They follow the same approach that is use for lingerie advertisement or use the same concept used in many gentlemen magazines as a template for these portraits. Many of the portraits are neither flattering and in many cases come short of becoming pornographic.

What I am perusing is a style that was popular in the 19 century and is and is once again greatly in demand in Europe. These Portraits are called Victorian or Romance Portraits, other artist call it Bohemian Portraits. Last March, I had the opportunity to meet a very fine British Portrait Painter who has adapted this old style of portraiture in his painting and I simply fell in love with his work and his ideas of what real women truly want in this romantic style of art.

You will not find Vitoria Secret panties being stretch by a stiletto heal or a totally nude house wife only covered by a Chiffon scarf. We will shoot portraits that are romantic and tasteful but beautiful enough to hang on the wall of your home.

We call these portraits Pastel Dreams, and we offer three levels of portraits.

Fun Portrait of Me

This weekend, we had a moment where I was teaching my newest photographer the ins and outs of studio lighting and using the camera stand.  With no other subjects around, well um, I was the subject.  And of course I had to have some fun.

I want to thank Molly for my wonderful photos of me.

Mickey Steals the Photo Session!

When Abbey arrived for her second session,  she brought a special friend to be in her session.   When I met Mickey for the first time, Mickey immediately shined up to me.  And he was a very handsome little dude as well.   What is there not to love when a small fluffy white dog comes up to you and gives you a kiss on the nose.

Even thought he was set in his ways and really did not want anything to do with having photos taken with his girl friend Abbey,  he relented, and became the star of a lot of photos.

Thank you Abbey for bring Mickey for your session.

Meet our New Senior Ambassador Abbey

Meet Teri and Steven They are Getting Married

I would like to introduce you to a couple who are I can swear, are a match made in heaven.   They are as close to a perfect match as anyone can be and despite the cold, I could feel the warmth in the love the have for each other.   I will have to admit, the weather for this past Sunday Photo session was near perfect, except for the cold.   But Steven and Teri warmed the day up and we all had fun with the photo session.   I wish we had more more time and more warmer weather, but what I did get said it all.

Also a special thanks to our new freinds at Viniferous Wine Shop in Downtown Frederick, Starbucks on Market Street Frederick, and the Green Turtle Frederick.
